"Dystopia lurks, love" tells us about that, about dystopia-undesirable fictional society in itself-, but not only about that.

A little about us

Memory Theater was born in November 2016 with the idea of bringing together the individual creative efforts of each of the actors and actresses in a choral and interdependent conception, in order to give a precise meaning to the word group.
We always start from a common technical experience before starting each of the rehearsals, regardless of the greater or lesser relevance that a priori each role assigned to each actor or actress may have. We therefore believe in the importance of being a team to develop the theatrical event, and in this way be able to drown any hint of toxic individualism for something that never ceases to be a collective creation.
We have fought for this since we started our journey, and despite the difficulties encountered, they have only strengthened our idea of creating a group that is generous both in its effort and in its solidarity with the rest of the components, and thus be able to transmit what each of us has to say, in this case through acting performance, because we believe with Anton Chekhov that "he who wants nothing, expects nothing, or fears anything, cannot be an artist"

Our projects

Memoriarte Teatro is characterized by developing personal and original projects from works written by and for our theater company, offering added value to all our production. Javier López Sellés, author and director of all these plays, is the origin of this project: he has forged a team of professionals who give their best in each rehearsal and in each staging.
During the long months of confinement in Madrid, our author has created his fourth long play, this time very much in line with the times we are living: "And also ... the Covid", which as a new theatrical project, Memoriarte Teatro will produce in the next few months.
